Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Buttercream Icing

1 packaged white cake mix
1  3 oz.-package of strawberry gelatin
4 large eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. finely chopped fresh strawberries
1 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. milk

Beat cake mix and next 7 ingredients at low speed with a mixer 1  minute. Scrape down sides and beat at med. speed 2 more  minutes. Strawberries should be well blended into batter.  Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9 inch cake pans.

Bake at 350 degrees for 23 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Cool in pans for 10 minutes;  remove and cool completely.   Spread strawberry cream between layers and on top and sides of cake. Garnish with fresh berries.

Strawberry Buttercream
1 c. butter, softened
1 16 oz. pkg powdered sugar
1 c. finely chopped strawberries

Beat butter at medium speed with mixer 20 seconds or until fluffy. Add sugar and berries, beating at low speed until
creamy. Add more sugar if frosting is too thin or add berries if it is too thick.
